destroyers are escort vessels for other ships.

destroyers are the logical counter to subs.

however they lack the sonar range to protect themselves most of the time.

a subs sonar range is large and so is their range they can sneak up on destroyers undetected until at launching distance and then turn and run away

the destroyer will barely have time to launch its shots in retaliation before it too must flee from the torpedoes.

Why is the Splinter so expensive compared to Box o' Death? Particularly build time:

BoD

500 M

3400 E

3400 BT

Splinter

650 M

4000 E

8200 BT

Now, BoD has 600 HP while Splinter has 1300, so that at least begins to explain it. Splinter is also a bit more effective against heavy armor. However, the Splinter has less range and requires line of sight. The extra metal cost I can deal with, maybe it should even be a bit more expensive, but I just don't see any reason for ...

Some one was just mentioning how the raptor design vs weapon design do not work together.

He pointed how the unit is designed to be on the move but the weapons were designed to be fired from a unit that stops and droops out the pay load.

At the moment the weapons have a 180 degree range of fire if it were made 210 or some thing they can run around and still have a change to keep a unit targeted as the unit's patching keeps maneuvering.

The units weapons are not very long range ...

Just a few ideas about selecting units quickly and effectively:

If I'm drawing a box, and there are more military units than con units under the box, then the con units under the box should not be selected. It's annoying when maneuvering large armies and accidentally lassoing a con unit, and then having to tell the con units to go back to what they were doing.

Also, I should be able to hold different keys to toggle between selecting air units and ground units. If I have fighters patrolling ...

I'd like to see better ASW air units. Currently you can combine sonar planes and torpedo bombers, but it's fairly unwieldy - it's hard to get the sonar planes to loiter, and patrols tend to end up with the sonar plane seeing a sub and moving on before a torp bomber gets near it. Torp bombers also don't seem to make attack runs on enemies they encounter while patrolling.

To fix this, I'd like to see a gunship with a short range sonar and a depth charge dropper. Without a torpedo it won't ...

I feel that in most group battles, air superiority isn't much of a tactic. Both teams will use attack bombers or fighter/bombers to attack the opposing side, but fighters rarely accompany an army to battle.

Are they too good? Mavs are really good at killing lvl1. Was the recent change a mistake? (They cost much less e and build much faster now). Whats the best way to kill mavs that are skirmishing with you around mid game.
